SUPERVISOR’S TITLE: Maintenance Supervisor
General Summary: Responsible for discussing with vendors
all purchases of materials, supplies, equipment and services used by the facility
on a daily basis and assures adequate products arrive in a timely fashion in
the most cost effective manner possible.. Oversees automated re-ordering on
purchase requests for approval, reviews and receives materials, organizes and
maintains the current stockroom inventory, and procures shipping of materials
to and from the facility.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:

Ability
to understand and utilize Mapcon software on a daily basis; receives items in
software that have been purchased to complete transaction, develops
preventative maintenance (PM) for new equipment and adds to schedule based on
equipment manufacturer’s recommendation, generates and schedules monthly PM’s
to various entities, adds new equipment assets to program, Inspects items for
quality to ensure they meet Mechanical Integrity standards and regulations

Compares
vendors for goods and services with the best vendor terms, pricing, service
guarantee and delivery based on a specific budget and schedule requirements
·
Develops
and maintains good working relationships with vendors and participates in
choosing new supply sources when vendors are inadequate

Reviews
vendor quotes and approves awards to vendor that meets selected criteria
·
Ensures
timely arrival of supplies and trace delinquent arrivals from Purchase Orders
and verifies parts meet OEM standards to satisfy Mechanical Integrity Program
·
Receives
parts, equipment, etc. and verifies items are placed in the correct stock
location by utilizing appropriate equipment (forklift, scissor lift,
telehandler, etc.)

Completes
purchase orders for all orders accurately and timely for approval of
Maintenance Supervisor
·
Works
closely with all organizational departments to ensure complete knowledge of
related area machines and equipment
·
Follows
protocol with inventory control including: maintaining existing inventory to
the min/max, adding new inventory when approved by the Maintenance Supervisor,
analyzing current inventory for viability, schedule of actual inventory of materials
as directed by the CFO and conducts an annual physical inventory audit
·
Schedules
shipment of materials to and from the facility and creates bill of lading (BOL)
for items shipped from facility
·
Assists
with creating Standard Operating Procedures for the Maintenance department
·
Assists
with water treatment testing as needed including but not limited to daily water
testing and maintenance of data from testing
·
Works
closely with Accounting department to investigate inconsistencies with PO’s and
associated invoices
·
Maintains
compliance with all city, state and federal regulations
·
Maintains
a safe working manner at all times
·
Completes
required training
·
Perform
other duties as assigned or requested
Required Knowledge, Skills,
and Abilities: Excellent communication skills, time-management
skills, negotiating skills, problem solving skills, good judgment, computer
literacy, safety and security knowledge.
Education and
Experience: Prior production, purchasing, and
inventory experience required. A.A., B.S. and/or technical education is
preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must have ability to lift at least 60 pounds, must have the ability to
climb ladders and work at heights of at least 30 feet and manage confined space
entry. Must have ability to operate
heavy machinery.
Working Conditions: Work
areas are exposed to all elements of weather, loud noise, and dusty conditions.
Must be able to work safely with exposure to chemicals and while working with
heavy moving machinery.
