Groundskeeper
JOB TITLE: Groundskeeper FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
SUPERVISOR’S TITLE: Maintenance Manager
General Summary: Responsible for providing general
maintenance throughout the facility.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:

Thoroughly
maintains lawn throughout the facility with mowing and weed control, keeping
rail line clear of trees and brush and filing appropriate paperwork to ensure
compliance
- Operates sweeper throughout the
facility daily and files appropriate paperwork in accordance with permit
regulations
- Ensures departments have ample
supplies and parts by assisting with errands locally as needed
- Provides
assistance to the Maintenance Manager with inventory management and
controls
- Completes
various painting throughout the facility as necessary
- Assists in
maintaining the maintenance area such as: cleaning bench and welding table
as needed, maintaining and PM of mowing, sweeping and snow removal equipment
and company vehicles
- Ability to
understand and utilize Mapcon software
- Snow
removal on a seasonal basis
- Serves as
a back up to water treatment testing
- Transports various paperwork from the
plant to the office daily
- Recycles pop cans for the facility on
a quarterly basis or as needed
- Assist
Human Resources with random drug testing, transport selected individuals,
as needed
- Maintains
compliance with all city, state and federal regulations
- Maintains
a safe working manner at all times
- Other
duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager
Physical
Requirements: Must have ability to lift at least 60 pounds,
must have the ability to climb ladders and work at heights of at least 30 feet
and manage confined space entry. Must have the ability to stand or walk for
long periods of time.
Working
Conditions: Work areas are exposed to all elements of
weather, loud noise, and dusty conditions. Must be able to work safely with
exposure to chemicals and while working with heavy moving machinery.
